Our Story
Long before A.Monet Events, Inc. started, and our story began in the wedding and events industry. Stephanie and Stacey, our two resident creatives and sisters, began to use their creative gifts to help facilitate weddings and events and create decorations for their family and friends in the early 2000s. After hearing several times that they should go into business together, the two began dreaming of Occasions Events. With little Ariane Monet in tow, they began to take their hobby to the next level by taking on the task of running their church's wedding ministry. Wedding after wedding confirmed their collective love for weddings and events, but life got in the way, and Stephanie and Stacey began to focus on their full-time careers.
Still holding on to the dream, Ariane Monet worked on creating a business plan for her mom and aunt in her high school entrepreneurship class. She figured they would have a great foundation if they decided to pick it up later, but she didn't see a career in weddings for herself.
Fast forwarding to college, Ariane Monet attended Illinois State University for undergraduate and graduate school. As she pursued a career in Marketing, all of her internships, extracurricular activities, and jobs had components of event planning. The event bug started to bite her, and she began dreaming of ways to incorporate event planning into her Marketing career.
In 2016, as Ariane Monet was sitting at her work desk listening to a sermon and praying, she heard a small, still voice say, "A.Monet Events." Immediately, she wrote it down, called her mom, Stephanie, and began dreaming of their next move. In December 2017, A.Monet Events, Incorporated was born, and we've been growing ever since! With the help of Stacey and Stephanie, Ola and Walter, Ariane's dad and husband, we've served many clients in the Chicagoland area and beyond.
We genuinely believe in love, and that is our secret ingredient. In the biblical sense, "love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never ends." We approach every task with love in our hearts. Love of God, Love of People, Love of Marriage, and Love of Experiences are our driving forces, and we incorporate that into our planning process.
We hope every client and guest walks away feeling loved by our team, which starts with creating an experience where people can enjoy the process of planning and the art of celebrating.
